Piotr Czublun

I am a legal advisor with over 25 years of professional experience. I provide comprehensive legal advice to, among others, insurance distributors, insurance companies, banks, leasing companies, loan companies, and financial intermediaries.
My professional experience includes, among other things, establishing foreign branches of insurance companies and insurance distributors, drafting and reviewing contract templates and general insurance terms and conditions, advising on personal data protection, representing clients in proceedings before common courts and administrative courts, as well as before the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) and the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), and reviewing and developing financial product distribution models.

I am listed in prestigious rankings: Chambers Europe (2015–2025), Legal 500 EMEA (2018–2025), and the Rzeczpospolita newspaper’s Law Firm Rankings, in the “Insurance” (2018) and “Banking and Finance” (2019) categories.
For several years, I was a member of the Polish Chamber of Insurance (PIU) working group on personal data, as well as a member of the PIU’s legal and IT committees. I was also a member of the Financial Market Development Council at the Ministry of Finance.
From 2013 to 2016, I served as an expert for the European Commission (a group established to identify issues in the cross-border provision of insurance services), and in 2019, I served as an expert for EIOPA (a team addressing issues related to the use of artificial intelligence in insurance).

In addition, I am a co-author and editor of a commentary on the Act on Insurance and Reinsurance Activities and a commentary on the Act on Insurance Distribution, both published by BECK. I conduct numerous training sessions aimed primarily at entities in the insurance, financial, and IT industries.
I am fluent in English when working with clients.
